Rue Gilt Groupe
Branding • Marketing • Web
During my time at Rue Gilt Groupe, I was a part of the design team for both Rue La La and Gilt. I worked on many different events and marketing campaigns for both businesses and was able to work with many professional designers, photographers, and directors to executive the company’s mission with my own personal flair.
Rue La La
While working at Rue La La, we worked on large banners that exist on mobile campaigns, web campaigns, and newsletters for members. These banners always highlighted a brand, a type of product, or a general sale. I learned quickly and was able to provide professional photo editing, manipulation, and graphics in a very rapid environment. I grew very familiar with the brand and voice of Rue La La and understood the target audience and the market.
We also made multiple smaller square banners for mobile campaigns and newsletters in tangent with the larger banners. This helped me expand my thinking about the composition of the photos and graphics.
Gilt
Gilt’s voice and identity were different than Rue La La in both its copy and attitude and the design reflected that. Where Rue La La was more charming and charming, Gilt was more chic and stylish. Gilt only had large wide banners and used a lot more posed models than Rue La La. Gilt, therefore, is much cooler tones and minimal graphics to highlight the brands and products more.
Gilt also had many campaigns that were paired, so I had to make sure those campaigns felt and looked closely related to the rest, such as the men's and women’s campaigns.
